Digesting Meat Increases Risk for Coronary Disease

As meat is digested within the digestive tract, gut microbes produce chemicals that make cardiovascular disease, based on research printed in Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology (ATVB). Research participants elevated their risk for cardiovascular disease by 22% for each serving of meat consumed each day.
